About Community Care

Who is the Community Care Network of Kansas?

Community Care Network of Kansas is comprised of health centers and community-based clinics with a common goal of providing high-quality, whole person healthcare for all Kansans. Since 1989, our membership has collaborated to help educate lawmakers on healthcare and health policy issues, advocated for funding, and promoted the availability of services statewide. Community Care is the federally designated Primary Care Association (PCA) for Kansas and receives funds to provide training and technical assistance to member clinics with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Look-Alike (LAL) designation.

What Does Community Care Do?

Community Care creates broad and lasting change within the Kansas healthcare system. We:

  • Support a network of clinics with thought leaders, innovators and champions focused on meeting the Quadruple Aim (improved patient experience, improved population health, reduced healthcare costs and improved provider experience and well-being).
  • Focus on large-scale systems change; use the power of partnerships; influence people, events and decisions; and relentlessly pursue results.

Our Strategic Pillars

Community Care operates on a foundation of “Guiding Principles” that inform our actions throughout the year. With these guiding principles, Community Care has developed an ongoing strategic plan through 2026 with four “Strategic Pillars” for success: Network Connectedness, People Excellence, Access to Whole Person Care, and Impact. Member Clinics

Who Are Community Care Members?

Community Care represents a diverse network of members that provide direct patient care. Our members, community health centers and clinics, provide comprehensive, whole-person care to their patients. We believe in proactive, preventive, and inclusive healthcare that prioritizes community well-being.

Community Care Member Clinics offer essential medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health services across Kansas. Funded by a combination of patient fees, fundraising, and grants, these clinics are often one of the largest employers in their communities.
