Quality Data Reporting System
The Quality Reporting System (QRS) has been designed to benefit members of Community Care Network of Kansas — formerly known as the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved (KAMU) — as well as the Community-Based Primary Care Clinics funded by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Primary Care Office. QRS simplifies the clinic’s ability to report data and generate reports for clinic use. KDHE’s Primary Care Office and Community Care Network have combined their requirements to avoid multiple report burdens placed on the clinics. Reporting clinic data to QRS fulfills the reporting requirements set forth in the annual Community-Based Primary Care Clinic (CBPCC) program.
Health centers that are also funded through the CBPCC program may submit their final Uniform Data System (UDS) report to Community Care Network to have the QRS data entered. Health centers are required to provide state specific data (i.e. patient counts, application counts, prescription counts for the pharmacy programs) not collected through UDS.
Uniform Data Systems
The Uniform Data System (UDS) is a core set of information appropriate for reviewing the operation and performance of community health centers. UDS tracks a variety of information, including patient demographics, services provided, staffing, clinical indicators, utilization rates, costs, and revenues. UDS data is collected from health center programs that include program grantees and Look-Alikes as defined in Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act:
- Community Health Center, Section 330 (e)
- Migrant Health Center, Section 330 (g)
- Health Care for the Homeless, Section 330 (h)
- Public Housing Primary Care, Section 330 (i)
- Other grantees under Section 330
