Our state is stronger when the people who live in, serve and represent our communities have access to the best health care available. Our network of members, partner foundations, and lawmakers are a reflection of those we serve and the potential of their communities.
A variety of clinic types can become Community Care Network of Kansas members, such as:
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
- FQHC Look-Alikes
- Primary Care Clinics
- Donation-Based Clinics
- Faith-Based Clinics
- Dental Only Clinics
- Local Health Departments
Community Care Network of Kansas Membership Benefits
For more than 30 years, Community Care has supported and assisted members by:
- Advocating with the state legislature to ensure the primary care grant program is funded.
- Assisting with clinician recruitment and retention for member clinics.
- Providing training opportunities and individual technical assistance for members.
- Providing board training to evaluate mission, policies, financials, staff roles and responsibilities.
- Providing support during site visits.
- Offering group purchasing programs for medical supplies.
- Providing training and assistance with quality improvement initiatives, such as a Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition.
Community Care Network of Kansas Membership Levels
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Community Care Network of Kansas.
Organizational Members
Organizational Members shall be comprised of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Look-Alike Health Centers (LALs).
Organizational Members are required to report complete clinical, operational, and financial data to Community Care Network of Kansas on an annual basis. This data may be publicly shared by Community Care Network of Kansas to increase access to quality care and demonstrate the value of the Community Care clinic network.
This level of membership is entitled to full member benefits and is eligible to vote on corporation issues.
- Federally Qualified Health Centers are community-based health care providers that receive funds from the HRSA Health Center Program to provide primary care services in underserved areas. They must meet a stringent set of requirements, including providing care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay and operating under a governing board that includes patients. Federally Qualified Health Centers may be Community Health Centers, Migrant Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless and Health Centers for Residents of Public Housing.
- Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alikes are community-based health care providers that meet the requirements of the HRSA Health Center Program, but do not receive Health Center Program funding. They provide primary care services in underserved areas, provide care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay and operate under a governing board that includes patients.
Organizational Members shall be comprised of non-profit or public organizations which, by legal mandate or explicit mission, deliver primary and preventive medical health care services. These services may be integrated with dental, behavioral health, and enabling services and are available on a full-time basis to patients regardless of their ability to pay. Members must use a sliding fee, reduced, or nominal fee schedule and provide services.
Associate Members
Associate Members shall be comprised of non-profit or public organizations which provide direct primary and preventive health care services and receive state funding through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment or the Community-Based Primary Care Clinic Program. These services may be integrated with dental, behavioral health and enabling services but are not required to be comprehensive or offered on a full-time basis. Members must use a sliding fee, reduced, or nominal fee schedule and provide services to individuals regardless of ability to pay.
Associate members are required to report complete clinical, operational, and financial data to Community Care Network of Kansas on an annual basis. This data may be publicly shared by Community Care Network of Kansas to increase access to quality care and demonstrate the value of the Community Care clinic network.
This non-voting level of membership is entitled to select member benefits.
Friends of Community Care Network of Kansas
Friends of Community Care shall be comprised of organizations and individuals which support the mission of the Corporation and its Organizational and Associate Members. Affiliate Members may or may not deliver primary and preventive medical health care services.
