What Are Community Care Clinics?

Community care clinics are community-based, nonprofit or public organizations that provide services to all people, including those who lack access to health care, those without insurance, and residents of rural and underserved areas. These health care services are available regardless of ability to pay. Most clinics utilize a sliding fee scale, which reduces fees for low-income individuals. Some community care clinics provide additional services, such as dental and behavioral health services.
