About this event:

Created by Kari Parker

This is the first in a three part webinar series based on School-Based Health Centers (SBHC). During this webinar, Paula Fields, MSN, BSN, RN, of the School-Based Health Alliance will educate individuals interested in starting a SBHC. Learn about different SBHC models, stakeholders to include, cost, and project timelines.
School-Based Health Centers help students access care a full spectrum of health care, when they need it, and where they need it. When SBHC’s and education come together, ALL children and adolescents can enjoy good health and achieve their fullest potential. Attendance improves. Conditions like asthma and diabetes are better managed. Behavioral health issues get quick, expert attention. Students from kindergarten through high school can get a flu shot, have an annual physical, have their teeth examined and their eyes checked, or speak to a mental health counselor in a safe, nurturing place without the barriers that families too often face.
