This training offers practical, easy to use tools that come from the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network (3RNet)’s Recruitment for Retention training module, a comprehensive approach to long-term recruitment and retention that begins with identifying current and future needs, addressing internal capacity for recruitment, planning/carrying out the search, screening candidates, and follow up activities. Having prescreened this training earlier this year, KAMU is extremely excited to offer 3RNet’s Recruitment for Retention workshop to its membership.
Recruiting and retaining hard-to-find clinicians is one of the biggest challenges facing community health centers and safety net clinics. It’s vital to use a strategic approach that emphasizes recruiting the right clinicians who will stay for an extended period of time. This six-hour workshop will go through the 15-step process of the Recruitment for Retention Manual. Learn how to strategize and implement best practices, and walk away with a plan that includes practical solutions for recruiting and retaining providers in rural and underserved communities.
Speaker and facilitator Michelle Varcho, Director of Operations and Education Outreach for 3RNet, has years of experience in healthcare recruitment and human resources. She brings knowledge gained by working with a number of 3RNet members and clients, as well as hands-on experience in CHCs.
