About this event:
“Integrating Behavioral and Oral Health: Financial Implications for Kansas Clinics”
Providing behavioral and oral healthcare in addition to primary care services can save time and creates simplicity for safety net clinic patients. From the clinic perspective, offering comprehensive, integrated care is part of the health home model that enables clinicians to treat the “whole” person and improve clinical outcomes. At the same time, integrating behavioral and oral healthcare services requires systems change and culture shifts, and can also be costly. During the upcoming call, participants will describe integration initiatives at their clinics, the financial impacts of these, barriers to integration, and approaches to ensuring integration occurs in an operationally sound and financially responsible manner.
