Empowering Manager for Tomorrow’s Challenges

Join us on May 24 for part one of this two part training for current and future managers to help strengthen the Kansas healthcare workforce.
Tara Morrow, KBP and Education Manger, Rural Health Education and Services, University of Kansas Medical Center will present on these engaging and interactive topics:
- Kansas Leadership Center Competencies: Our certified KLC teacher and facilitator will engage managers with KLC’s principles, competencies and definition of leadership. Using the KLC framework, participants will identify key areas where they need to to stretch, grow and experiment.
- Situational Leadership Model: Learn to modify your style of management to suit the existing work environment and requirements of the organization. Managers will gain insight to understand when to change their management style, and what leadership strategy might fit each new situation
- Effective Communication Strategies: Communication is one of the most important aspects of interacting with others. Managers will practice the communication strategy of “Describe, not Evaluate” and learn specific techniques to use when making requesting from their employees.
We are offering a hybrid training option. Join us in-person at the Sunflower Nonprofit Center Board room in Topeka or attend virtually.
Cost:
In-person: $25/person fee (covers breaks and lunch)
Virtually: no charge to attend
